We believe in the healing power of stories.
We know that times can be tough for children in hospital. We aim to change that. Our mission is to teach all children
the healing power of stories by sharing donated books during their time in hospital.
But we need your help. Donate your unwanted books, and help one more child uncover the power of stories!
Our Story
The Little Library Foundation was founded when a young child spent months in hospital, suffering from an illness that the doctors said she would never
recover from. She found solace only from the books her nurses brought her to read. The little girl spent every waking hour reading, diving
head first into stories and folktales. She connected to the characters in the books, and imagined a better world, where every child suffering had countless
worlds to call home.
Over a decade later, that little girl outlived the doctor’s expectations, and she still loves books just as much as she did when she was stuck in that
hospital bed. She now spends her days sat at bedsides, reading to sick children.
“In the darkest of nights, the power of stories keeps hope alight.”
Our Mission
We aim to make the lives of children stuck in hospital a little bit happier. The power of a story can go a long way for someone who needs it. Hospitals can be boring and dreary, especially for excitable children. Help us break up the bad news with a spark of hope, and donate your unwanted books today!
